Mr. James Eddyth Harris, age 70, of Copperhill, TN passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013. Mr. Harris was a native of the Polk County area and was a son of the late James Harlo and Adele Bandy Harris. He was retired as a Postal Clerk with the US Postal Service and was a former owner and operator of Harris Service Station. He was a member of the Apostolic New Hope Holiness Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Harris was also preceded in death by brothers, Michael Harris and David Harris.He is lovingly survived by his wife of fifty years, Shirley Satterfield Harris of the home; children, Donna Jean (Ed) Koenig of Murfreesboro, TN, Shannon (Danielle) Harris of Cleveland, TN, Terry Harris of Copperhill, TN; siblings,T.J. (Ann) Harris of Copperhill, TN, James Harlo (Deborah) Harris, Jr of McDonough, GA, Bill (Sherri) Harris of Blue Ridge, GA, Haril (Dale) Harris of Copperhill, TN, Jean Calhoun of Murphy, NC, Judy (Leon) Queen of Murphy, NC, Linda (Joe) Watson of Macon, GA; ten grandchildren, Megan (Jason) Allison, Westley Harris, Mitchell Harris, Dakota Harris, Delaney Harris, Brilee Harris, Brett Harris, Jared Koenig, Dillon Koenig, Maisie Harris; great grandchildren, Evan Parker Allison and Madison Koenig. Several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 25th at 2:00 p.m. from the Apostolic New Hope Holiness Church with Elder John Prater and Pastor Jeremy Tipton officiating. Music will be by Westley Harris, Jennifer Johnson, Annette Collins, Mary Jane Tranthem and Ashley Prater. Grandsons serving as pallbearers include Westley Harris, Dakota Harris, Jared Koenig, Dillon Koenig, Mitchell Harris, Brett Harris and Jason Allison. Honorary pallbearers include T.J. Harris, Jr Harris, Bill Harris, Haril Harris, Charles Burger, Vernon Kennedy, Wade Collins, Jr, Ike Collins, Earl Tipton, Leon Queen, Morris Jones, Melvin Wilcox, Elmer Tranthem, Tim Wilcox, Gilbert Johnson, Joe Watson, Robert Corky Harris, Tony (Bones) Hamby, David Cross, Louie Thompson, Jerry Talley and Daven Dilbeck. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
