Rev. James Howard Galloway, age 95, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on April 4, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Fannin County, GA to the late Columbus and Jennie Brown Galloway. Rev. Galloway served his country in the United States Air Force. Rev. Galloway's true passion was serving the Lord. He was saved at the age of twenty and started preaching the same year. He was the Pastor and served as Interim Pastor for many churches.

Rev. Galloway was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 71 years, Dorothy Wilson Galloway; two sons, Clois Anthony Galloway and Randall Howard Galloway; siblings, Bob Thomas, Billy Thomas, Lewis Thomas and Betty Nicholson; and son-in-law, Frank Drummonds.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Judy Drummonds and Joyce and Dennis Southern; grandchildren, Jennifer Jacobs, Jamey (Jill) Burnette, Clint (Katy) Southern, Monnie (Wilson) Meads; great grandchildren, Emily Kara (Josh) Burgess, Julie (Jerod) Petty, Cody (Michelle) Jacobs, Bryce Lewis Burnette, Brody Lee Burnette, James Henry Southern, Elijah Luke Southern, Matthew Clinton Southern, Holland Grace Meads; great great grandchildren, Mack Davis Petty, Jett James Petty and Jake Santiago Jacobs.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday April 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Matthew McDaniel and Dr. Roger Beck officiating. Music will be provided by Greg Norton and Jeanette Rismiller. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jamey Burnette, Clint Southern, Cody Jacobs, James Henry Southern, Bryce Burnette and Wilson Meads. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
