Mr. James Brownie Forrester, age 98, of Blue Ridge, Georgia passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at his home. He was born on August 4, 1926 in Tate, Georgia to the late John Wilburn Forrester and Ethel Marie Goss Forrester.

James attended Northeast Assembly of God in Dekalb County, Georgia. He honorably served in the United States Army, occupation forces Baumholder, Germany.  James was an avid golfer, and a member of Cedar Lake Golf Club in Loganville, Georgia. Above all, he loved the Lord, and was always thanking him for his blessings.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, John Wilburn "Bud" Forrester, Morris William Forrester, Harold Gene Forrester, and Marilyn Zenobia Parkman.

James is survived by his beloved children, Jeff Forrester (Christa) and Dara Renee Graham (Eddie) both of Blue Ridge, GA; grandchildren, Dara Jiravisitcul Myjak (Dana), Morgan Elizabeth Lagatta (Austin), Taylor Renee Graham, Christopher Byron Forrester (Nicole), Stacy Lynn Forrester, Josh Christian Ice (Jennifer), and Ashleigh Dawn Ice Mallard (Josh); great-grandchildren, Sierra Paige Forrester, Christopher William Forrester, Zachary Boyd Forrester, Bradley James Forrester, Bodhi Elle Lagatta, Cohen Bronx Lagatta, Rafe Scott Lagatta, Reese Taylor Myjak, Thomas Ice Mallard, Hudson Forrester Mallard, Teri Jo Christa Mallard, Tessa Jane Ice, Savannah June Ice, and Joshua Christian Ice, II;sister, Carolyn Tabiatha Walker; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Graveside services were held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. from the Chastain Memorial Park in Blue Ridge, Georgia with Rev. Eric Davenport officiating. Music was provided by Sandy Forrester and Kyle Forrester. Serving as pallbearers were Jeff Forrester, Eddie Graham, Joel Walker, Steve Forrester, Kyle Forrester, Todd Dickens, Christopher Forrester, and Austin Lagatta.

Memorial contributions in honor of Mr. Forrester may be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital or the Georgia Sheriffs' Youth Homes Inc.
