James Dean Miller

James Dean "Jimmy" Miller, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 in Blue Ridge. He was born in Waukegan, IL, to the late Claude Robert Miller and Elsie Ledford Miller. Jimmy worked for many years as a heavy equipment mechanic. He was of the Baptist faith. 

Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Ann (Mitchell) Allen and Pam (Rodney) Patterson; granchildren, Lucas (Kyleigh) Patterson, Matthew (Samantha) Allen, Kayla (Dylan) Freeman, and Maci (Kayleb) Chancey; sisters, Susie (Ricky) Patterson, Bonnie Hyde, Geneva (Johnny) Dillard, Anita (Neal) Prince, and Abby Gale Gamble; brothers, Jerry (Mary) Miller, Brad (Sheryl) Miller, and Keith (Melissa) Miller; his step-mother, Addilee Miller; numerous great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Juanita Faircloth.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date, in the Friendship #3 Baptist Church Cemetery.
