Mr. James Edgar Cox, age 80, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the Heritage Healthcare in Blue Ridge, GA. Mr. Cox was a member of the Sugar Creek Baptist Church and retired as a self-employed block mason. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by parents, Stewart Alexander Cox and Hazel Ann Welch Cox; his first wife, Hazel V. Cox; brothers, MacArthur Cox, Clifford and identical twin Bill Cox.He is survived by his wife, Lynn Beavers Cox; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Shirley Cox and Lee and Angie Cox, all of Blue Ridge, GA; daughters, Donna Jo Cox and Lisa Cox, both of Blue Ridge, GA; step-son, Roger Beavers & wife Amy Beavers of Blue Ridge, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Vida Cox and Stewart Cox, Jr. and Lillie Cox, all of Blue Ridge, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Bradley Davis of Mineral Bluff, GA, and Geraldine and Lloyd Hicks of Blue Ridge, GA; sister-in-law, Dottie Cox of Blue Ridge, GA; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.Funeral services were conducted Friday, October 17, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Sugar Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Willis officiating. Music was by David Anderson and Brian Huffman. Pallbearers were Jimmy Cox, Jody Cox, Jason Cox, Lee Cox, Daniel Cox, and Roger Beavers.
