Mr. James Harold "Tim" Conner, age 71, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Friday, August 8, 2008 at his home from injuries sustained in a tractor accident. He was born in Washington, D.C. on August 6, 1937 to the late William and Hattie Bridges Conner. Mr. Conner was an electrician for Gold Kist and was also involved in the construction of Walt Disney World. He was preceded in death by a brother Clifford Conner. He is survived by his wife of twenty-four years, Karen Conner of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Betty Jean and Ty Roberts of Fl; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Beate Conner of FL; son, Jeff Conner of FL; step-children and spouses, Christine and Steve Hord of Dallas, GA and Kress and Kim Cronin of Wintersville, OH; step-son, Jeffery Cronin of Pocatello, ID; sisters, Gail Harris and Betty Dukes both of FL; brothers, Michael Conner, Billy Conner, Glen Conner, Wayne Conner, Hugh Conner all of FL and Roy Conner of NC; nine grandchildren; many nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial service was conducted Monday, August 11, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Claude Mathis officiating. Music was by Eileen Kerr.
