Mr. James Eddie "Pete" Chapman, age 49, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Sunday, September 8, 2013 in the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Pete was born January 15, 1964 to Harold Chapman and the late Florece Whitaker. He was a member of O'zion Baptist Church. Pete was very gifted in the field of construction. He loved being in the mountains and spending time with his children. He was very loved and will be missed by all. He is survived by his sons, Jesse Chapman and Joshua Chapman of Aiken, SC and Matthew Chapman of Blue Ridge; brother, David Chapman of Blue Ridge; sister, Connie Chapman of Blue Ridge; niece Krissy Chapman; and family member Melissa Chapman, Benny and Patsy Messer, all of Blue Ridge. Special graveside services were held Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapman Family Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Hunter officiating.
