James William "Billy" Campbell, Jr., age 54, of Morganton, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022 at his home. He was born in Decatur on July 18, 1968. Billy attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was an Electrician and member of the IBEW Local #613. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was an avid UGA fan.

Billy is survived by his wife of 25 years, Pam Campbell; son and daughter-in-law, Trey and Andrea Campbell of Morganton; daughter, Erica East of Morganton; granddaughter, Piper McCoy; mother, Georgianna Campbell of Hayesville; father, Bill Campbell of Morganton; three brothers and one sister.

Billy's family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 5:30 pm.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 5:30 pm from the Akins-Cobb Chapel with Rev. Paul Adams officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Demetrius Wilson, Randall McGill, Benny Henry, Mark Keaton, Ricky Thomas, Rodney Gibby, Jason Bradburn, and Nathan Campbell.
