James Newell Beaver Sr., age 91, of Cleveland, TN passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020 at Tennova of Cleveland. He was born in Fannin County, GA to the late August Jewell Beaver and Farel Welch. James was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Anna Lou Gibson; brothers, Kenneth Beaver and Mearle Beaver; and sisters, Ira Pierano, Jewell Dean Thomas, and Juanita Miller. James is survived by his sons, Minister James (Nancy) Beaver, Jr. of Cleveland, TN, and Lynn (Rhonda) Beaver of GA; brothers, Ray (Barbara) Beaver of Blue Ridge, GA, and Billy (Joyce) Beaver of Atlanta, GA; sister, Barbara Jarman of Epworth, GA; sister-in-law, Elease Johnson of Cleveland, TN; Three grandsons, Naymon Beaver, Justice Beaver, and Shaun Beaver; and four great-grandsons Teagan Beaver, Logan Beaver, Gabriel Beaver, and Oliver Beaver. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill Chapel with Minister James Beaver Jr. officiating. Music was provided by Ray Rogers.
