James Douglas, better known as Doug, Barber, age 56, of Turtletown, TN passed away Monday, January 29, 2018. Doug was born in Atlanta, GA to Mrs. Ella Stiles Barber and the late James Wesley Barber. He was of the Pentecostal Faith and was self-employed.He is survived by his mother, Ella Stiles Barber of Turtletown, TN; sister, Linda (Lee) Walker of Turtletown, TN; Nieces and Nephews, Jennifer Carter (Danny) Baisden, Allen Walker, Christy (Terry) Pickelsimer; great nieces, Emmalee Carter, Savannah Carter and Jamie Pickelsimer; special cousin, Lee Nicholson.Many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Ray Harper and Rev. Ronnie Miller officiating. Music will be by Sharon Jory. Pallbearers include Scott Barber, Timothy Barber, Andrew Barber, Kenny Barber, Anthony Barber and Brian Dodd. Honorary pallbearers include, Terry Pickelsimer, Brandon Dunn and Tyler Jory. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill cemetery.
