Mr. Jack Eugene Williford, age 88 of Morganton, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014, at Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC. He was born on Friday, January 1, 1926 in Vidalia, GA to the late Robert Franklin and Lily McKenzie Williford. Mr. Williford served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of the American Legion. He retired as a Union boilermaker. Mr. Williford was a Baptist.Survivors are his wife, Josie Holden Goode Williford of the home; son, Jason E. Goode of Springhill, TN; daughters, Olivia (Frank) Pratt of Cartersville, GA and Michelle Goode of Nashville, TN; brother, Wendell Williford of Perry, GA; many grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive.A Celebration of his Life will be conducted on Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at his home.
