Ivlean O'Neal, age 82, of McCaysville, Georgia went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 13, 2025 in Ducktown, Tennessee. She was born on August 12, 1942 in Blue Ridge, Georgia to the late Harley Payne and Siddie Patterson Payne. Ivlean was devoted in the Baptist faith, and a member of Mt. Liberty Baptist Church. She had a passion for cooking, and making her home. She also enjoyed gardening and her beloved flowers.

Ivlean is preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Lisa Byers.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Clyde O'Neal of the home; children and their spouses, Steve and Stephanie O'Neal of McCaysville, GA and Dewayne and Tiffany O'Neal of McCaysville, GA; son-in-law, Leroy Byers of Fairmount, GA; grandchildren, Jordan (Taylor) Harris, Jared (Brooke) Byers, Kaitlyn Byers, Taylor (Jake) Dickey, Abigail O'Neal, Will O'Neal, and Olivia O'Neal; great-grandchildren, Cooper Harris, Sawyer Harris, and Joanna Dickey; siblings, Marjorie (Rev. Clifton) Patterson, Annie Mae Payne; Wesley (Geraldine) Payne, and James Payne; other relatives, and dear friends.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Robbie Chastain and Rev. Joey Phillips officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Waylon O'Neal, Cliff Graham, Will O'Neal, Jared Byers, Dewayne O'Neal, and Steve O'Neal. Serving as honorary pallbearer was Cooper Harris. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, January 15, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

The family requests that memorial contributions in honor of Mrs. O'Neal be made to the Mt. Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery Fund C/O Travis Couch at 93 Couch Drive, McCaysville, GA 30555.
