Mrs. Irene Vesta Rogers, age 75, of the Gilmer County Nursing Home, Ellijay, GA passed away Monday, November 7, 2011 in the North Georgia Medical Center in Ellijay. Mrs. Rogers was born in Fannin County, GA on January 2, 1936 to the late John Henry Mann and Martha Beautell Ballew Mann. She worked as a paraprofessional for Clayton County School System and was a member of Community Baptist Church in Fayetteville, GA. She is survived by her husband, J.B. Rogers of Ellijay; daughters and son-in-law, Joyce Rogers of Orlando, FL, Barbara Kirby of Woodstock, GA, and Janice and Keith Hobbs of Ellijay, GA; brother, Rev. Kenneth Mann of Blue Ridge; sister, Bonnie Shook of Blue Ridge; two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Mann officiating.
