Mrs. Inez Chastain, age 78, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Monday, October 29, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Chastain was born on October 2, 1934 in Fannin County, GA to the late Willie Patterson and Rethel Porter Patterson. She worked at Levi Strauss and as a customer service representative for Goody's. She was a member of Young's Chapel Church and was known as a loving mother, wife, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Worth Chastain of Blue Ridge, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Brenda Chastain of Ocoee, TN, Britt and Pearlie Chastain of Delano, TN, and Mark and Christal Chastain of Cherry Log, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and John Ritchie of Blue Ridge; brother, Cecil Patterson of Cherry Log, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley Smith of Cherry Log, GA, Ellene and Larry Watson of Epworth, GA and Virginia and Eulis Davis of Blue Ridge; sisters-in-law, Mamie Hart and Mozelle Anderson, both of Blue Ridge, Betty Shook of Duluth, GA, and Alice (William) Ratcliff of Mineral Bluff, GA; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Max Curtis and Rev. Kenny Beavers offficiating. Music was by Britt and Pearlie Chastain and the A.C. Caylor Family. Pallbearers were John Ritchie, Marshall Rhodes, Marc Burnette, Eulis Davis, Malcom Davis, and Jeff Arrant. Honorary pallbearers were Larry Williams and David Anderson. Interment followed in Young's Chapel Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
