Imogene Byers Greene, age 85, of Mineral Bluff, GA, passed away on May 6, 2024. She was born in Fannin County, GA to the late Carl and Mattie Bell Dillard Byers. She was a devoted member of the New Testament Baptist Church in Blue Ridge, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Robert Greene; son, Randy Greene; and siblings, Loyd Byers, Ann McFall, Frank Byers, Garnet Byers, Junior Byers and Infant Everett Byers.

Imogene enjoyed working in her garden and flower beds. Her favorite color was certainly purple and she always had a smile on her face. She loved spending time with all of her family.

A special appreciation goes to all of those who helped Imogene during her sickness. Also, a special thank you to Pruitt Healthcare for the care they provided as well.There will never be an opportunity for all the special family members and friends who devoted their care, time and attention to be repaid. Their acts of kindness made it possible for Imogene to be at home surrounded by love as Jesus took her home.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Rickey and Debbie Greene, Linda and David Harvey, Kenney Greene; special daughter, Dianne Eddy; siblings, Irene Mcauliffe, Inez Allen, and Hoyt Byers; grandchildren, Jeremiah Greene, Jeremy Harvey, Jessica Davis, Chris Derrick, Jessica Derrick, Kevin Brewer, Tonya Mashburn, Nathan Greene, Aaron Greene, Zac Greene, Tiffany Deaver, Willie Greene and Cheyenne Greene; great grandchildren, Zac Millsaps, Joslynn Harvey, Drake Millsaps, Sarah Harvey and Kaylynn Harvey; and host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Pastor Sammy Ledford and Pastor Nathan Stuart officiating. Music was provided by Cheyenne Greene, Joslynn Harvey, Sarah Harvey, Kaylynn Harvey and Angie Cox. Interment followed in the Toccoa Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: David Harvey, Rickey Greene, Jeremy Harvey, Daniel Davis, Jessica Davis and Maury Jeans. Selected to serve as honorary pallbearers were: Hugh McClure, Tommy Mcauliffe, Freddy Rice and Jerry Greene.
