Mr. Hoyt Wilcox, age 76, of Turtletown, TN, passed away on December 19, 2016, at the Life Care Center in Ducktown, TN. He was born in Cherokee County, NC to the late Dillard and Elizabeth Hopkins Wilcox. Mr. Wilcox was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed listening to Blue Grass music.Survivors include his sisters, Shirley Jean and Husband Mark Cole of Murphy, NC and Lois Panther of Turtletown, TN; nieces and nephews, Dwayne Cole, Deborah Murphy, Diane Roper, Kevin Panther, and Melissa Peacock; and several great nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel in Copperhill, TN with the Rev. Kenny Taylor officiating. Music will be provided by Kenny O'Neal. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Braden Hedrick, David Newman, Bill Newman, Daniel Stewart, Scott Verner and Zach Johnson.
