Mr. Hoyt W. Davenport, age 65, of Ducktown, TN passed away on Friday, October 31, 2008. Born in Fannin County, GA, he was the son of the late Virgil and Lola Aaron Davenport. He was a member of the Rock Creek Baptist Church. In previous years he had worked as a Lineman but later dealt more in property sales and other entrepreneur endeavors. Mr. Davenport was preceded in death by a brother, Toy Davenport; sister, Donna Lee Patterson and Peggy Alsobrook; half-brother, Gene Stanley. Survivors include his wife, Alena Davenport of the home; son and daughter-in-law, William and Olga Davenport of Ducktown, TN; son, Jeremy W. Davenport of Ducktown, TN; daughter, Rose Marie Davenport of South Carolina; brother, Loy Davenport of Cherry Log, GA; grandson, Christopher Davenport; granddaughters, Tiffany Davenport and Breona Davenport also survive.Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Phillip Davenport officiating. Music was by Renee Watkins and Phillip Thomas. Pallbearers were Dean Herendon, Keith Herendon, Darrell Alsobrook, Daniel Alsobrook, Chris Davenport and Dwayne Davenport. Honorary pallbearers were Carl Collins and Kevin Collins.
