Mr. Howard William Lynn, age 84, of Turtletown, TN, passed away on August 13, 2019, at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Cherokee County, NC, he was the son of the late William McKinley "Horace" Lynn and Dora Jane Hayes Lynn. Mr. Lynn was a minister and long time member of the Turtletown Church of God of Prophecy. He loved living for the Lord, preaching and witnessing to people. Howard was a talented musician who loved picking his guitar. He retired after twenty plus years for Tri-State Electric Membership Cooperative maintaining right-of-way as a foreman. He was also preceded in death by a son, Aaron Kirkland; and two grandsons, Adam Barnett and Todd Kirkland; siblings, Elsie Cole, Mary Smith, Alma Cochran and Harold Lynn. Survivors include his loving wife, Clara Simonds Lynn of the home; daughters, Patricia Graham of Lyons, GA, Melissa Green of Turtletown, TN and Karen (Barron) Renee Deal also of Turtletown, TN; one sister, Novella Lynn of Turtletown, TN; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ruth Ivester of Blairsville, GA, Nell Hampton of Andrews, NC and John Simonds of Gastonia, NC. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Turtletown Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Sam Morrow officiating. Music will be provided by Ryan Crowder. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Wesley Cearley, Adam Greer, Tyler Ramsey, Ryan Crowder, Chris Crowder and Barron Deal.
