Mr. Howard Lamar Johnson, age 75, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Friday, October 21, 2008. Born in Atlanta, GA, he was the son of the late Andrew Delmar Johnson and Lillie Mae Williamson Johnson. He worked as a truck driver for Bandy Trucking. Mrs. Johnson was of the Baptist faith. He was a United States Army veteran serving in the Korean War, was a member of the D.A.V., the American Legion, and the North Georgia Honor Guard. He is survived by his wife, Ellan Ferguson of Blue Ridge; sons and daughters-in-law, Chad and Jill Johnson of Hixon, TN and Eric and Melissa Johnson of Blue Ridge; and three grandchildren, Korbin, Koty, and Aidan Johnson. Graveside services will be conducted Friday, November 7, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. from the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA with Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating.
