Howard Irvin "Boe" Deaton, age 72, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 in Blue Ridge, GA. He was born on February 5, 1945 in Blue Ridge, GA to Bettie Sue Bell. He was a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church and was retired from The Kroger Company. He was a devout GA Tech Football fan.He is survived by his mother, Bettie Bell of Blue Ridge, GA; a brother, Rickey (Evelyn) Bell of Jasper, GA; two sisters, Suzette Johnston and Tina Moore both of Blue Ridge, GA; a niece, Kristen Bell and a nephew, Tyler Moore.Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 1, 2017, at 2:00 pm from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel of Blue Ridge with Dr. Roger Beck officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Tyler Moore, Adam Mulkey, Harold Herndon, Larry Deaton, Ron King, Lonnie Moore, Junior Norton, George Dyer.
