Mr. Howard Henry Clonts, age 68, of Copperhill, TN passed away Thursday, October 21, 2010 at his home. Mr. Clonts was born in Fannin County, GA on August 10, 1942 to the late Amburs Soloman Clonts and Delva Dillard Clonts. He worked as a welder and maintenance mechanic in the General Electric plant. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Clonts was a United States Army veteran and served in the American Legion. He is survived by his wife since 1963, Bonnie T. Clonts of the home; son, Howard Jeffery Clonts of Copperhill, TN; daughter, Jeanna Clonts Mixon of Rome, GA; sister, Irene Martz of Rome, GA; sister-in-law, Rose Clonts of Rome, GA; grandchildren, Christina Mixon and Robert Mixon III; and great grandchild, Jordan Riley Hawkins; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel. Pallbearers were be Bobby Davis, David Clonts, Bobby Clonts, David Fergeson, Mark Johnson, Michael Johnson, and Jospeh Chapman. Honorary pallbearers were Ricky Davis, Wayne Davis, and Ricky Painter. Interment followed in Crestlawn Cemetery with full military honors by North Georgia Honor Guard. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
