Mr. Howard H. "Buddy" Baumann, age 73, of Blue Ridge, Georgia, formerly of Spotswood, New Jersey, passed away on August 8, 2023 after a long illness. He was born on January 14, 1950 to the late Otto W. Baumann Sr. and Tressa A. Baumann. He was a Boy Scout and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. Howard was a truck driver for many years. He loved to travel with friends. He was also an honorary "Pink Lady" at Fannin Regional Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto W. Baumann Sr. and Tressa A. Baumann; and brother, Otto W. Baumann Jr. of the United States Army, who passed away during combat in the Vietnam war.

Survivors include his companion, Jean Bonnewitz of Blue Ridge, Georgia; brother, Gary Baumann and wife, Susan of Old Bridge, New Jersey; nephew, Matthew and wife, Tazianna of Clark, New Jersey; niece, Allison and husband, James Pielli of Swedesboro, New Jersey; one great nephew, one great niece and one great niece coming soon.

There was a visitation held in honor of Mr. Baumann on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at the Akins-Cobb of Blue Ridge from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. At a later date, he will be buried at the Spotswood Reformed Church Cemetery in New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all donations be made to the Fannin Regional Hospital (now Blue Ridge Medical Center) auxiliary.
