Homer Ted Sisson, age 87, passed away peacefully at his home on McCallister Hill near Isabella on Thursday, December 10, 2015 from a lingering illness. He is survived by his wife, the former Dolores Simonds. The couple would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on December 16th. Two daughters survive: Patricia (Jim) Cole and Pamela (Roger) Hampton. Two grandsons, Tim Cole and Scott Hampton, and two granddaughters, Tiffany Daniel and Heidi Gladson also survive. Eleven great-grandchildren were the joy of his life. Ted was the youngest child of the late Minnie Earl and Oscar Sisson including, Hoyt, Ralph, Weldon, Edmond, Hubert, J.B., Edith, Irene and Dorothy. Funeral services were held on Sunday, December 13th at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Brian Clayton and Rev. Randy Hughes officiating. Music was by Lucie McKinney. Pallbearers included Tim Cole, Kody Hampton, Steve Simonds, Rob Gladson, Don Dilbeck and Kage Gladson. Honorary pallbearers included Jason Daniel, Barry Nix, Tommy Carter, Tom Dean, Steve Orton, Donnie Morrow, Doug Dilbeck, Mineral Bluff Baptist Church Deacons including, Dennis Nicholson, Ulas Thomas, Tom Bryant, Greg Nazerian, Art Kinser, Jack Gibson, Jimmy Nichols, Derek Stewart and Jason Devlin.
