Obituary

Mr. Holister Braley McKee, age 92, of Turtletown, TN passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011 in the VA Medical Center in Decatur, GA. Mr.McKee was a born in Hague, NY and was a son of the late John and Jane Braley McKee. He was retired from the Manatee School Board in Bradenton, Fl and was a member of the Crofts Chapel United Methodist Church. Mr. McKee served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII and was stationed at Pearl Harbor during the attack by the Japanese. While enlisted in the service he served as an Air/ Sea Rescue. He also worked as civilian mechanic for the Flying Tigers Airmen. He is survived by sons, Thomas McKee of Bradenton, FL, George Henry McKee of Lithia, FL, Cornelius McKee of Turtletown, TN; daughter, Laura Rivers of Turtletown, TN; ten grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; sisters, Sally Lydecker, Shirley and Dorothy. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, November 5th at 4:30 p.m. from the Crofts Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Hamilton officiating.
