Hobert Hopkins, age 83, of Turtletown passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at his home surrounded by family. Hobert was born on June 21, 1940 in Turtletown to the late John Christopher Hopkins and Ruth Wilcox. He was a member of the Ducktown Lodge #241 F&AM, the Alhambra Shrine, and the Scottish Rite. Hobert was employed as a truck driver for Chemical Leaman Trucking. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Danny Ray Hopkins; brothers Marvin Hopkins and Paul Hopkins and granddaughter, Jessica Hunter.

Hobert is survived by his wife, June McCoy Hopkins; daughters, Vicky Sue (Buster) Hunter, Tammy (Mike) Ledford, and Rebecca (Mike) Worley; grandchildren, Kenny Hunter, Daniel Skelton, Casey Skelton, and Marissa Hopkins; great-grandchildren, Hunter Raper, Cameron Quinn, Levi Taylor, Everly Skelton, and Halzee Hunter; step-sons, Gary Kuykendall, Steven (Traci) Kuykendall, and Edward (Jean) Kuykendall; four step-grandchildren, and one step-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were be conducted on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. James Lemley officiating. Masonic rites were provided by the Ducktown Lodge #241 F&AM. Interment followed in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Daniel Skelton, Casey Skelton, Kenny Hunter, Hunter Raper, Gary Kuykendall, and Jason Bryant. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Worley, Dale Hopkins, and Chris Hopkins.
