Mr. Hobert Wade German, age 62, of Cumming, GA passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010 in the Northside Hospital Forsyth in Cumming, GA. Mr. German was born in Polk County, TN on October 15, 1947 to the late Hobert German and Rachael Chancey German. He was a resident of Decatur, Al from 1985-2006 where he worked at Wolverine Tub Company. He then moved to the Cumming, GA area and served general manager for Mason Tractor Company. Mr. German was a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Decatur, Alabama and was a United States Marine veteran. He is survived by his wife, Connie Harper German of Cumming; sons, Ken German of Prattville, AL and Craig German of Decatur, AL; mother, Rachael German of Copperhill; sister, Tammie Mason of Blue Ridge; grandchildren, Peyton German, Harper German, Taylor Wetzel and Natalie Wetzel; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan and Rev. Gary Parris officiating. Music was by Doug Simonds. Pallbearers were Tom Papson, Dan Robinson, Tim Passinger, Marty Godfrey, Glen Byrd, and Tom York. Interment followed in Copper Ridge Memory Garden.
