Mrs. Hildred Irene Patterson, age 80, of Epworth, GA passed away Monday, April 21, 2008 in the LifeCare Center in Ducktown, TN. Born in Fannin County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Bert Rhodes and Annie Gilliam Rhodes. She worked as a seamstress at Levi Strauss Corporation. Mrs. Patterson was a member of Union Baptist Church and was a member of Beulah Chapter #21 O.E.S. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Claude Patterson; brothers, W.L. Rhodes, Leonard Rhodes, Clyde Rhodes; and sisters, Elizabeth Allen, Hattie Rhodes, and Hazel O'Neal. She is survived by her son, Carl E. Patterson of Blue Ridge; daughter and son-in-law, Doris Jean "Jeanie" and Daniel Watson of Epworth; brothers, Arthur Rhodes of Griffin, GA, and David Rhodes of Gaston, SC; sisters, Lynn Weeks of Blue Ridge, Marilyn Rhodes of Lithia Springs, GA, and Debbie Lopez of Ellijay; 3 grandchildren, Jamie Patterson, Jason Patterson, and Veronica Watson Clement; 2 step grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and 3 step great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Ernest German and Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Music was by the The Caylor Family. Pallbearers were Larry Watson, Charles Lewis, Jackie Rhodes, Jamie Patterson, Jason Patterson, and Gerald Conner. Interment was in Crestlawn Cemetery following a white dove release. Donations in memory of Mrs. Patterson may be made to the LifeCare Center of Copper Basin, Activities Department, P.O.
