Hildred Kirkpatrick, age 69, of Gainesville, GA passed away Monday, January 4, 2010 at her home. She was born in Blue Ridge, GA on September 13, 1940 to the late Harold Wayne Huffman and Willie Brinkley Huffman. She was a LPN for Chestatee Medical Center until her retirement. She was a member of McCaysville/Copperhill First Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a daughter Hildred Sissy Kirkpatrick. She is survived by sons, David Kirkpatrick of Portland, Oregon, Harold Kirkpatrick of Palm City, FL, and Douglas Kirkpatrick of Gainesville, GA; brothers, Wayne Huffman of Blue Ridge, GA, James Huffman of Morganton, GA and Scott Huffman of Kennesaw, GA; sisters, Patricia Galloway of McCaysville, GA and Sue Williams of Acworth, GA; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. James Payne officiating. Music was by Brian Huffman. Pallbearers were David Kirkpatrick, Harold Kirkpatrick, Doug Kirkpatrick, James Huffman, Scott Huffman, and Mike Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Kirkpatrick, Dougie Kirkpatrick, Gavin Kirkpatrick, and Dakota Gossitte. Interment followed in Chastain Memorial Park.
