Herman Leander Burger Jr., better known as "Junior" or "H.L.", age 79, of Copperhill passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 in Chattanooga. Junior was born on December 24, 1944 in Copperhill to the late Herman Burger Sr. and Ethel Rhodes Burger. He loved working on cars, and in his appreciation of classic cars, Junior enjoyed attending car shows and watching racing. He also loved spending time with his canine companion, Sawyer.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jeanette Burger; and siblings, James Burger, Linda Burger, and Lillian Burger.

Junior is survived by his wife, Sandy Burger of Copperhill; daughters, Angie Burger of Copperhill, and Cindy Burger of Copperhill; brother, Dennis Burger of Benton; best friends, Oscar Buchanan and Trigg Parris; and several grandchildren.
