Herman Pat Boring

Herman Pat Boring, age 91, of Turtletown, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026. He was born in Turtletown on May 24, 1935, to the late Tommy Boring and Lillian Hughes Boring. Herman was a man of many trades. He was a talented musician and is known for his sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Boring; daughters, Rhonda Boring and Ellen (Keith) Nicholson; step-daughters, Sonya Bramlett, Theresa (Lynn) Abercrombie, and Rayetta (Lee) Elrod; granddaughters, Katherine (Rob) Mello and Abby Nicholson (Tim Bellows); and brothers, Donald "Bones" Boring and Harold Boring.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 3:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Mark Reid officiating. Music will be provided by Janice Reid. Interment will follow in the Mount Carmel House of Prayer Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Goode, Rick Boring, Chad Boring, Tyler Jory, Will Gourley, and Bart Loudermilk. Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
