The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces Funeral services for Mr. Herman Allen, age 65 of Isabella, TN who passed away on Tuesday April 8, 2008 at his home following an extended illness. Born in Cherokee County, NC he was the son of the late Ernest and Wilma Swanson Allen. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army.Survivors include his wife, Zybell Cross Allen of the home; two daughters, Bobbi Allen and Kimberly Narlock both of the home; brothers, Leroy Allen of Isabella, TN and Victor Allen of Tunnel Hill, GA; sisters, Hazel Brown of Rockyface, GA, Carolyn Tucker of Hawkinsville, GA, Stella Crump of Benton, TN and Katie Kenner of Ellijay, GA; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.Funeral Services will be conducted Friday April 11, at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Reid Nicholson officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Harmony cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Justin Cross, Scotty Chambers, Jason Payne, Roy Lee Allen, Jake Cross, Shannon Queen and Buddy Queen. Adam Narlock will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Military Rites will be provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
