Herbert Waters, age 86 of McCaysville, GA passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015, at the Copper Basin Medical Center in Copperhill, TN. He was born on Friday, November 9, 1928 to the late George Washington and Bessie Payne Waters. Mr. Waters was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He was a carpenter.Survivors are his wife, Mae Waters; brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Betty Waters of Chatsworth, GA and Tommy and Margaret Jean Waters of Dalton, GA; sisters, Evon Rhymer of Dalton, GA and Lorene Pless of Chatsworth, GA; many nieces; nephews and cousins also survive.Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with the Brother Jeremy Tipton and Rev. Ed O'Neal officiating. Music will be by Kenny O'Neal and Family and Back to Bethany. Pallbearers will be Michael Dyer, Richard Daves, Jamie Queen, Daniel Shuler, Ricky Hicks and Tommy Payne. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Dyer, Jimmy Holloway, Justin Holloway, Nathaniel Tipton and Kevin O'Neal. Interment will follow in Mount Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
