Mrs. Hellon Juanita (Gilliam) Garrett, age 71, of Blue Ridge, GA died Monday, November 26, 2007, at Fannin Regional Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Fannin County, daughter of the late William Herbert Gilliam and Eddie Lee Morris Gilliam and was the wife of the late Gordon (Junior) Garrett. Mrs. Garrett was retired from Robert Shaw Company and was a member of McCaysville Gospel Tabernacle. She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Ann Chynoweth of Morganton, GA; one son, Winston Garrett of Blue Ridge, GA; three sisters, Mary Adams of Blue Ridge, GA, Bessie Holloway of Cherrylog, GA, and Margaret Bennett of Powder Springs, GA; two brothers, Bill Gilliam of Canton, GA, and James Gilliam of Buford, GA, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 2:00 pm from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Baugh officiating. Music was by The Farmer Family and Mike Shroth. Pallbearers were Jim Robinson, George Godfrey, Darrell Bennett, Romaine Holloway, Bob Adams and Bill Garrett. Interment followed in the Chastain Memorial Park.
