Heather Payne, age 48, of McCaysville, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, August 16. She was born on October 14, 1974 in Copperhill, Tennessee to the late Raymond Bryson "Hoot" Payne and Patsy Cearley Payne. Heather enjoyed crappie fishing with her friends at lake Allatoona, playing bingo, painting, and listening to music of all genres.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Bryson "Hoot" Payne; grandmother, Billie Jean Cearley; aunts, Diane Queen, Midge Stone, Kathy Gaddis, and Frances Pelfrey; and uncle, Charles Payne.

She is survived by her son, Colby White of McCaysville, Georgia; mother, Patsy Payne of McCaysville, Georgia; sister, Karie Payne of McCaysville, Georgia; uncles, Mark Stone, Mike Pelfrey, Ronald (Dee) Cearley, and Danny Payne; aunts, Ruth Ann Payne and Judy Payne; and many other cousins, relatives, and special friends also survive.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. from the Copperhill Akins-Cobb Chapel with Rev. Joey Patterson and Rev. Jason Phillips officiating. Interment followed in the Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Colby White, Brandon Long, Ronald Cearley, Waylon O'Neal, Austen Reed, Cliff Reed, Steve Free and Daniel Queen.
