He worked for Blue Ridge Mountain Movers. He is survived by his wife, Stacy Messer; children, Landon Messer, Crystal Messer, Katelyn (Dylan) Cole, and Shannah Strickland; parents, Glenda and Danny Messer; sister, Kim Bishop; brother, Tony Quinn; nephew, Michael Blake Messer; and a large extended family.
