Hank Lee Goddard, age 67 of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021 in Northside Cherokee Hospital in Canton, GA. He was born on July 4, 1954 in Copperhill, TN to the late Virgil Lee Goddard and Daisy Lee Rhodes Goddard. Hank had worked at Mohawk Carpet Manufacturing as a forklift operator and Ames Rubber Company. He was of the Baptist Faith. Hank was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Herman Goddard and grandmother, Emmer Hicks. Survivors are his wife, Linda Hughes Goddard of Blue Ridge, GA; step-daughters and step-sons-in-law, Susie and Scott Suit of Mineral Bluff, GA and Lora and Les Eisenhart of Mineral Bluff, GA; step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Junior and Julie Deal of Morganton, GA; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pauliet and Bill Machamer of Sherrodsville, OH, Linda and Randy Strickland of Blue Ridge, GA, Harriet and Gary Hiener of Barberton, OH and Shirley and David Rogers of Blairsville, GA; thirty-four nieces and nephews also survived. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Jeff Fair officiating. Music will be by Rev. Joey Patterson. Interment will follow from the Cherry Log Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joey Patterson officiating. Pallbearers will be Josh Wilson, Scott Suit, Junior Deal, Jaron Deal, Jonah Henry, Jacob Henry and Nathen Strickland. Honorary Pallbearers will be Josh Suit, Cayden Newman, Sophia Greene, Josiah Eisenhart, Joseph Henry, E.J. Henry, Noah Henry, Mason Henry, Les Eisenhart, Carson Newman, Terry Wright, Emily Newman, and Taylor Deal. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials may be made to The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
