The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces funeral services for Mr. Guy Franklin Styles, age 93, of McCaysville, Ga., who died Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Copper Basin Medical Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of the Copper Basin, son of the late William and Vada McCay Styles. Mr. Styles was retired from the acid department of Cities Service Co. He was a member of McCay Lodge #423 and also attended Morganton Lodge.He is survived by his wife Othella (Patterson) Styles of the home, daughter Sandra (Styles) Styles-Parker of Kennesaw, Ga., son William Styles of Cohutta, Ga., grandson, Sein Styles and many other relatives and friends.Funeral service will be at Akins Chapel at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 13, with Rev. Ernest German officiating. Music will be by Melba Akins. Interment will be at Crestlawn Cemetery. Masonic rites will be conducted by McCay Lodge #423 F&AM. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 13.
