Ms. Grady L. Mashburn, age 83, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012 in the Heritage Health Care Center in Blue Ridge, GA. Ms. Mashburn was born on January 31, 1929 in Ellijay, GA. She worked as an executive/secretary for Lockheed and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. She was a member of Blue Ridge Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl & Zona Mashburn; sisters, Lois, Beulah, and Alice; and a brother, Carl Jr. Survivors include a sister, Jewel Mashburn of Dallas, GA; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Min. Keith Ritchie and Min. Bill Johnston officiating. Music will be by Vaughn Patterson. The following nephews will serve as pallbearers: Jim Byrd, Buzzy McClelland, Albert, Shultz, Clay Shultz, Terry Nichols, and Scott Warren. Interment will follow in the Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will meet with friends Friday from 5:00-9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ms. Mashburn may be made to the charity of your choice.
