Glenis Lameda Taylor Crago, Age 71, of Turtletown, TN passed away Monday, September 29, 2008. Glenis was a member of the Mine City Baptist Church and enjoyed writing poetry. She was a former employee of the Polk County Board of Education for twenty five years working as a Teacher's Aid at Ducktown Elementary School. She was a 1956 graduate of Ducktown High School where she was the class Salutatorian. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ulysses and Lena Hughes Taylor and a sister, Sarah Taylor Devoti.She is survived by her loving husband of fifty years, Franklin "Casey" Crago of the home; two sons, Brent and wife, Sonja Crago of Cleveland, TN, Ryan Crago of Ducktown, TN; daughter, Jill and husband, Michael Rose of Ducktown, TN; brothers, Bud and wife Geraldine Taylor of Ducktown, TN, Tom and wife Linda Taylor of Turtletown, TN, Hansel and wife Connie Taylor of Old Fort, TN, Danny and wife Linda Taylor of Farner, TN; sister, Carol Newberger of Acworth, GA; three grandchildren, Casie Crago, Andrew Crago and Cody Cash. Many other relatives and friends.Funeral services were conducted Thursday, October 2nd at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Paul Ray Harper officiating. Music was by the Scott Barker Family. Pallbearers were Christopher, Greg, Jeff and Alan Taylor, Shea Mize, Jeff Patterson, Robert Devoti and Eddie Cole. Honorary pallbearers were classmates from the 1956 graduation class of Ducktown High School. Interment followed in the Zion Hill cemetery.
