Glenda Faye (Sutherland) McDaniel, age 60, of McCaysville, Ga., who died Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge, Ga. She was a native of Whitfield County, daughter of the late James Wheeler Sutherland and Dura Ann Salmon Sutherland. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Hopkins Sr.; and sisters, Linda Jean Sutherland and Brenda Jean Sutherland. She was a member of Bethany Church.She is survived by her husband Carl McDaniel of the home, three sons, Billy Hopkins, Jr., Jamey Hopkins, and Jeremy Hopkins all of Dalton, GA; one sister, Shirley Casey of Shannon, GA; three grandchildren, Brendon Hopkins, Steven Crawford, and Arrie Hope Hopkins; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Dickey officiating. Music was by Edward Vest. Pallbearers were Bobby McDaniel, Jutoon McDaniel, Heath Harkins, Matthew Brown, and Lovie Casey. Interment followed at Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery.
