Glenda Joyce Deal, age 65, of Copperhill passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Glenda was born on January 17, 1960 in Copperhill to the late Everett Dalton and Mary Patterson Dalton. She worked for 22 years at Levi's, and later, she worked for 13 years as a CNA at Life Care Center of Copper Basin. Glenda was a devoted member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Tumbling Creek. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Glenda's greatest joy in life came from spending time with her grandchildren and her animals.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William "George" Deal; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. Lloyd and Rhoda Ann Deal; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roger Deal, Conrad Deal, Martha Ann Deal, Cecil Deal, and Leroy Deal.

Glenda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Daniel West; grandchildren, Anna (Samuel) Gilbert, and Zeb West; sister, Wanda O'Neal; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mary (late husband, CM "Bug" Talley) Louise Talley, Kathleen (late husband, Rev. Jimmy Payne) Payne, Randy (Sharon) Deal, Marilyn (Rev. Gerald) Payne, Carlton (Rita) Deal, Richard (Stacey) Deal, and Alex (Angie) Deal.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 1:00 PM from the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Tumbling Creek with Rev. Joey Phillips and Rev. Doyle Davis officiating. Music was provided by Rev. Kenny and Kim O'Neal. Interment followed in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jesse Deal, Adam Deal, Cory Deal, Matthew Deal, Trevis Deal, and Daniel Deal. Honorary pallbearers were Aaron Talley, Zeb West, Samuel Gilbert, and Little Lloyd Payne. The family visited with friends at Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Copperhill on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
