Glenda Teresa Campbell, age 48 of Chatsworth, GA passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at her home. She was born in Gastonia, NC on January 8, 1962. She was retired dietician with Murray General Hospital in Chatsworth, GA. Glenda was a member of First Baptist Church of McCaysville/Copperhill and was in the Women on Missions Group. She was preceded in death by her father, Leffel Campbell. Survivors include her former husband, Eddie Verner of Copperhill, TN; son, Christopher Verner of Chatsworth, GA; two daughters, Stephanie Verner of Chatsworth, GA and Jennifer Levins of Manistique, MI; mother, Menice Ballew, three brothers, Jim Rice of Huntsville, AL, Bobby Campbell of Gastonia, NC and Randall Campbell of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Janice Luby of Harleton, TX and Sherrill Davis of Ellijay, GA; two grandchildren, Trinity Levins and Jordan Verner also survive. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bradley Elliott and Rev. Harry Gilbert officiating. Eulogy was by Jamie Parris. Music was by First Baptist Church of McCaysville/Copperhill Church Choir (Katie Gilbert), Nathan Parris and Jessica Odom. Interment followed in the East Ellijay Cemetery.
