Gilbert Hammonds Ingle, age 81, of Farner, TN passed away Friday, March 10, 2017. "Gib" as he was affectionately known to family as friends was born in Farner to the late Clinton and Beadie Womble Ingle. He was retired from the Polk County Road Department where he was a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church and a Veteran of the U.S.Army.He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Ruth Newman Ingle of the home; sons and daughters in law, Dwight "Poge" (Lisa) Ingle of Farner, TN, Dwayne (Lisa) Ingle of Epworth, GA; brothers, Howard Ingle and Lynn Ingle, both of Farner, TN; two grandchildren, Brett Ingle and Clinton Ingle; three great-grandchildren, Brody, Eli and Grayson Ingle.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday , March 12th from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. A graveside service and interment will follow in the Farner Presbyterian Church cemetery with Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Music will be by Sharon Jory. Pallbearers include Tyler Jory, Travis Jory, Jim Davidson, Mark Borts and grandsons, Brett & Clint Ingle.
