Geraldine Mull Phillips, age 83, of Blue Ridge passed away on November 11, 2024 at Pruitt Health Nursing Home of Blue Ridge.

She was born to the late Claude and Rosetta Anderson Mull on June 26, 1941.

Geraldine was a 1959 graduate of West Fannin High School.

Preceding her in death are her parents; infant sister, Betty Ruth; and brother, Randall Claude Mull.

Surviving her is her husband of 65 years Freddy Phillips of the home; daughter, Paula (Scott) Brooks of Copperhill, TN; two grandchildren, Justin Brooks and Amber Brooks both of Copperhill, TN; five great-grandchildren, Aidan Garcia, Vanessa Brooks, Kassidy Brooks, and Asa Brooks of Copperhill, TN, and Kaylee Brooks of Trenton, GA; one sister, Geneva Mull Ballew of Hollywood, FL; one nephew, Lowery Ballew also of Hollywood, FL; and her cat, Garfield.

She worked for many years with twenty-four of those being in Copperhill, starting out at First National Bank of Polk County, and by her time of retirement it had been purchased by BB&T. She always enjoyed making new friends along the way. After retirement she worked as a cashier at Roses in Blue Ridge, where she enjoyed working with the public. After leaving there, she stayed at home and enjoyed her flower beds until her health would not allow it any longer.

Funeral services were held on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Kevin Chapman officiating. Special music was provided by Stephanie Ensley and Haley Ensley. Interment followed in the Crestlawn Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Scott Brooks, Justin Brooks, Gerald Young, Albert Green, Jeff Phillips, and Timothy Bradley. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Friday, prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
