Mrs. Geraldine White Bruce, age 65, of Ellijay, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in her home. Born on August 26, 1953 in Blue Ridge, she was the daughter of the late Willy R. and Velvia Lewis White. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Ellijay. She retired from Levi Strauss where she worked as a Seamstress and later in Quality Control. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Wendell White, Clarence White, Frances White, and Helen Gibbs. She is survived by her husband, Robert Thomas Bruce of the home; son, Bobby Wishon and his fianc Michelle Evans of Ellijay; son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Vanessa Wishon of Villa Rica; granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Wishon; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Annie White of Atlanta, Kimsey and Lula White of Blue Ridge, and Junior and Pauline White of Blue Ridge. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dan Rosser officiating. Interment followed in the Welcome Hill #2 Baptist Church Cemetery. Bobby Wishon, Rodney Wishon, Paul Gibbs, Tony Parr, Art Byrne, Brian Shedd and James Whitaker served as pallbearers.
