Mrs. Geraldine Faye "Jewell" Beeler, age 80, of Morganton, GA passed away Sunday, July 19, 2009 at her home. Mrs. Beeler was born in Crossville, TN on December 10, 1928 to Austin Waldo and Rachael Clara Davenport Waldo. She was bookkeeper for North Georgia Insulation which she and her late husband, Chester "Smoke" Beeler owned. She was a member of Mineral Bluff Baptist Church and Mary Chapter #388 Order of the Eastern Star.She is survived by three daughters, Darlene Pickelsimer and her husband Don of Powder Springs, GA, Carolyn Beeler of Morganton, and Debbie Ledford of Jonesboro, GA; brother, T.J. Waldo of Maryville, TN; sisters, Myrtle Kincaid of Maryville, TN and Violet Duncan of Etowah, TN; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Min. Butch Jones officiating. Music was by Janet Kincaid. Pallbearers were Shawn Ledford, Mark Rice, Josh Anderson, Kane Ledford, Keaton Stites, and Patrick McGahee. Honorary pallbearer was Capt. Eric Pickelsimer. Eastern Star Rites were provided by Eastern Star Members. Interment followed in Chastain Memorial Park. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge was in charge of arrangements.
