Gerald Leon Pruett, age 79, passed away at his home in Blue Ridge GA on Friday, March 27, 2026.

He was born on January 6, 1947, in Atlanta, Georgia, and was the son of the late Stokes and Mary Pruett. He was the youngest of six children.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife, Lyn Pruett, along with several nephews and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters, and his loving daughter Shane.

Gerald was a hardworking man who lived life to the fullest. Though he could be tough around the edges, he had a heart of gold. He loved his family and friends deeply and would do anything for them, day or night. He spent his career as a pipeline contractor.

In his free time, he enjoyed soaking up the sun on the beaches of Panama City, Florida, as well as biking, hiking, camping, and gardening-especially alongside his wife of 33 years, Lyn.

He loved Jehovah God and attended the Blue Ridge Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses.

A memorial service will be held in his honor at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Blue Ridge GA on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 2:30 p.m.
