Gerald Lynn "Redbone" Brendle, age 66, of Murphy, NC passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017. "Redbone", as he was affectionately called, was a son of the late Pender and Mattie McDaniel Brendle. He had worked for the Tennessee Copper Company as a Timberman. He served our country in Vietnam in the U.S.Army and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a very tenatious and persistant person who loved hunting, fishing and fast cars.He is survived by children, Andrew Brendle, Vanessa Brendle and Kelly Brendle; brothers, Charles "Indian" Brendle and Bill Brendle; sister, Alma Thomason.Mr. Brendle was cremated and a private service will be held at a later date.Condolences may be sent online to www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
