Obituary

Mrs. Georgia Mae Eller, age 96, of Turtletown, TN passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024. She was born Georgia Mae Graves in Violet, NC on July 22, 1927 to the late Inez Murphy Graves. Georgia loved Jesus and was a faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy, helping in many roles including missions support, cooking for church gatherings, singing in the choir and as church clerk. She was super creative, she loved quilting, crocheting, making dolls, cooking, yard-sales and decorating. Georgia worked in a gift shop at Fields of the Wood for many years then later became a floral designer teaching classes in floral arranging and assisted in many beautiful weddings. She always made holidays and gatherings extra special for the family she loved so dearly.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty-eight years, Willie Guinn Eller; son and daughter-in-law Larry and Patricia Helton Eller; and siblings, Fred Graves, Myrtle Picklesimer, Mary Hamby, Effie Ledford, Hoyt Graves, Wade Morrow, and Tim Morrow.

She is survived by her children, Phyllis (Frank) Beeam of Turtletown, TN and Rita (Ronnie) Ross of Cleveland, TN; sister, Zelma Morrow Martin of Gastonia, NC; six grandchildren, Chris (Tammy) Eller, Chad Beeam, Eric (Lil) Eller, Mandy (Ray) Eller, Kimberly (Shannon) Owensby, Brett (Lindsay) Ross; fifteen great-grandchildren, Hallie Eller, Katlynn (Brandon) Howe and Storm Eller, Olivia (Cody) Bishop, Aliyah and Zemery Beeam, Jeffrey, Mehgan and Miranda Eller, Treylyn, Cason and Jadon Owensby, Stella, Bennett and Ivey Ross; great-great grandchildren, Grayson and Rorie Howe, Caymen, Oaklyn and Oden Thomason, and Brody Bishop. Many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, April 19th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Josh Ledford officiating. The following were selected to serve as pallbearers: Brett Ross, Jeffrey Eller, Storm Eller, Treylyn Owensby, Jadon Owensby and Zemery Beeam. Frank Beeam, Ronnie Ross, Ray Thomas, Shannon Owensby, Chad Beeam, Eric Eller, Chris Eller, Cason Owensby, Brandon Howe and Cody Bishop served as an honorary escort. Interment followed in the Liberty Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Eller may be made to the Fields of the Wood Church of God of Prophecy.

The family would like to extend special gratitude to Legacy Village of Cleveland for their compassion and loving care to Mrs. Eller.
