Mr. George Warren Poland, Jr., age 69, of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012 in the St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Poland worked as a master plumber of Bethesda Plumbing and was of the Baptist faith. He was a United States Marine veteran. Mr. Poland was preceded in death by his parents; George W. and Earline Lamarre Poland and one son; Joseph Lee Poland. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Peggy Poland of Mineral Bluff; children and spouses, Robert Dean Poland and Joyce Elaine Poland of Wheaton, MD, Frank Beal Staples III and Tina Staples of Severn, MD, William and Mary Staples of Hanover, MD, P.J. Young and James Young of Blue Ridge, and Chrissy Hensley and Brian Hensley of Mount Airy, MD; grandchildren, William Staples, Misty Lynn Poland, J.T. Young, Frank Staples IV, Ashley Hensley, Justin Young, and Taylor Hensley. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Military honors will be by North Georgia Honor Guard.
